Adam McMullen, MHA, MLS(ASCP)CM is the director of Hospital Relations with Quest Diagnostics in New Jersey. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology: Medical Technology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2010, and his Master’s in Health Administration with a concentration in Informatics from St. Joseph’s University, in Merion Station, PA, in 2015. Mr. McMullen is the operational lead for the Professional Laboratory Services (PLS) agreement with Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Quest Diagnostics and HMH are in a full laboratory management agreement which includes personnel, equipment, and reagents. This is one of the largest laboratory management agreements by Quest PLS in the country, with approximately 680 full-time employees across 10 HMH hospital locations and several smaller locations. Mr. McMullen began his career as a medical laboratory scientist with the University of Pennsylvania Health System, moving into laboratory leadership as a hematology and point-of-care testing supervisor at Pennsylvania Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA. In 2018, he relocated to New Jersey, where he worked for HMH in laboratory leadership before the transition of the health system’s laboratory management to Quest Diagnostics. Prior to his role as the director of Hospital Relations, he served as the administrative director of Laboratory Services at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, part of HMH and the Quest Diagnostics laboratory management agreement. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children.
