Jamie M. Everett, MD, FASCP
Jamie M. Everett, MD, FASCP, is an associate professor at the University of Houston’s Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine where she directs pathology education and the state-of-the-art diagnostic teaching laboratory. She is also a practicing board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center where she served as medical director of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services. Dr. Everett works daily to further the ideals of professional collaboration and patient-centered care, by integrating innovations such as artificial intelligence (AI) and health informatics in her teaching and clinical practice.
Dr. Everett completed her undergraduate studies at Howard University and obtained her medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia. She pursued residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she served as chief resident. Her expertise was further honed through fellowship training in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School.
She currently serves as an ASCP Pathology Ambassador and a member of the Society of Black Pathology. Beyond her medical pursuits, she is deeply committed to community engagement and cultural enrichment, as she serves on the Board of Directors for Art League Houston, champions the Houston Symphony, and contributes actively to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
