Lacy R. Moss, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM


Lacy R. Moss, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM is an associate program director and associate professor in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Division in the Department of Pathology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She completed a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a PhD in Biomedical Science with a focus on cancer biology and mechanisms of disease at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in the laboratory of Ian Corbin, PhD. Dr. Moss is a member of ASCP, ADLM, and the ASCLS, where she serves on the ASCLS CLEC Steering Committee. Her interests include promoting awareness of the medical laboratory science profession through a variety of community outreach activities, creating and sharing MLS-focused educational content on her YouTube channel (@lacyrmoss-phdmls), and creating unique study aids for MLS students in her courses. Dr. Moss is very interested in pedagogical innovations in medical laboratory science education, and she aims to make medical laboratory content easily digestible for all learners. Outside of work, Dr. Moss is a wife and mother to two young children and an avid crafter in her free time.
