Nicholas R. Steder III, MBA, MS, MLS(ASCP)^CM DLM^CM

Nicholas R. Steder III, MBA, MS, MLS(ASCP)^CM DLM^CM, is a business development executive of Core Lab Solutions at Siemens Healthineers, who recently took on this role after working three years as a point of care specialist. In both roles, Mr. Steder has used his experience to translate laboratory to business and business to laboratory and help his customers optimize operations with new solutions. He received his MS in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Rush University, and his MBA from the University of Illinois Chicago while he worked as a chemistry specialist. Before moving into industry, Mr. Steder was in an area laboratory director position in Chicago, where he managed a centralized core laboratory and acted as the technical consultant for subsidiary laboratories across the health system. In addition to being an ASCP certified medical laboratory scientist, he also obtained the Diplomate in Laboratory Management (DLM) certification from ASCP, which expanded his understanding of the needs and challenges of the medical laboratory. Mr. Steder currently sits on the board of directors for the ASCP Chicago Chapter and is the treasurer for ASCLS-Illinois. He has previously acted as president of ASCLS-Illinois, chair of vendor relations of ASCLS-Illinois, and president of the ASCLS Chicago branch.
