Rasha Abu-El-Ruz  MSc, MPH, M(ASCPⁱ)^CM PhD(c)

Rasha Abu-El-Ruz, MSc, MPH, MM(ASCPⁱ)^CM, PhD(c) , is a teaching assistant of Biomedical Sciences at the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in medical microbiology, master’s degrees in both infectious diseases and epidemiology, and is currently working on a PhD in Health Sciences. With more than 16 years of experience in the medical laboratory, Ms. Abu-El-Ruz is very passionate about teaching biomedical sciences. She specializes in diagnostic microbiology, medical virology, medical parasitology, clinical immunology, and medical molecular biology. She is inspired by epidemiological and bioinformatics health research and has published nine peer-reviewed researches and book chapters. Ms. Abu-El-Ruz has won several awards for her work and dedication to the profession from QS-Reimagine, including the “Oscar of Education” of the Middle-East, “World’s Gold” for the Discipline of Life Sciences, “World’s Silver for the Best University-Employer Partnership” award, and the “Middle East QS-Reimagine Award.” In addition, she took first place in poster awards at the Qatar University Research Forum, second place in poster awards at the Qatar University Health Retreat, and won the Best Instructor award from Corinthian Colleges in Canada, as well as the Best Employee award for more than a decade from Hijazi Laboratories in Jordan.
